The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unjustified” visa bans imposed by the United States against five European individuals involved in combating digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

EU Officials Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on figures who have been central to efforts to enact legislation regulating American tech companies.
